Normalising is a standard heat treatment used to achieve the desired material structure after casting.

After casting or forging, the micro structure of steel is not uniform, and consists of large grains and undesired structural components. Such a micro structure has a negative effect on the mechanical properties of steel and to the machinability. Using normalising, steel can achieve a fine grain uniform structure with predictable properties and machinability.

The results of heat treatments are analysed and checked in our own laboratory using a microstructure scan.Genormaliseerde structuur
